Hi, I was a Monopoly player in the 70's and 80's, but in my family we
played our own version which was much more exciting due to the huge
pot of money that accumulated in the centre of the board. I later
developed the idea and adapted it, simplifying the property buying a
great deal and basing it around a negotiating mechanism where the best
strategy is not necessarily making the most money, because every
action has a reciprocal reaction in the other players. If you are
considerate and generous to them, they will be to you too.
The result is a game modeled on the interdependent world we live in,
in the twenty-first century.
Those that enjoy getting rich still have that pleasure, but those that
like a more psychological approach find they can turn the tables on
the traditional go-getters.
And then there are certain built-in advantages for the youngest
players that levels the playing field so that mixed groups of adults
and children can all have fun together.
Nintendo's and Wii's are not a thing of the past, but give your kids a
refreshing break: http://www.interdependenz.com |
