It appears that Disney cares more about their own agendas then they do
about the will of the Florida legislature.
They plan to defy the state law that allows lawful carry of a firearm
in a vehicle, by interpreting the exemption of companies with
explosives permits to include themselves. Evidently they have a
permit for fireworks in their theme park.

This article seems to imply that this is a good move by Disney.

I won't be buying any Disney movies any time soon.

I'd be willing to bet their permit is state-issued, thus negating their
exemption.

My explosive license is issued by the BATFE.

Are fireworks licenses the same as explosive licenses? The state fire
marshal issues fireworks licenses in my area.

ATF requires a "user permit" for interstate acquisition of "special" (Class
B explosive) fireworks, and licenses for manufacture. There are often other
state and local restrictions, permits, etc.

It wouldn't surprise me if Disney has in-house pyrotechnicians and is, in
effect, a manufacturer.

# yes,you certainly cannot leave them in your hotel room.
#
# of course, the criminals preying on Disney guests will still have their guns
# and other weapons....and disarmed prey.

One difference tho' between Disney and other employers... (not that I'm
defending their attitude) but at least they can and do defend their
guests.

I'm happy that they recently re-armed our security guards at work. Smile
I was talking to one of them last night and he's retired military and
rated an expert shot, and hits the range at least twice per month.

But, he carries a glock!

Yeah, but Glocks are much more efficient. They fire without requiring
that the trigger be pulled. Isn't that easier?
