I have been watching the webcams at SpringWatch of the barn owls.
Mrs. H., the female, laid 4 eggs which were to begin hatching a day or
so ago. The past few days, she hasn't been sitting on them and they
are not in a neat circle. They don't seem to have been moved for at
least a day. Why would a barn owl desert her eggs, as I am assuming
she has done? The SpringWatch TV show is over even though the cams
continue, and their message board is closed for the season. |
