Blogress Karol Markowicz calls our attention to a revealing quote from a
Politico story we noted Tuesday on the easy ride the Obama administration is
getting from most of the media:
"As our administration makes progress on the agenda that
Washington has ignored for too long, we expect we'll get
some news coverage of that progress that we like and some
tough coverage that we don't," White House spokesman Josh
Earnest said. "It's not unlike the New Orleans Saints, who
are getting lots of good coverage of their perfect record
so far--certainly better coverage than the [2-5] Redskins--but
it doesn't mean the Saints have liked every story that's
been written about them since training camp. It goes with
the territory."
Maybe Josh Earnest is joshing, but assuming he's in earnest, we have a few
questions: Do the New Orleans Saints have an enemies list? Do the New Orleans
Saints complain incessantly about the "mess" they "inherited"? Do the New
Orleans Saints take every opportunity to blame Reggie Bush for their failure
to make the Super Bowl in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 seasons?
The Obama administration is more like a team that was hyped to the stars all
spring and summer but after a quarter-season has a 2-2 record. They've won a
couple of close games against very weak opposition, and their losses came
against mediocre teams. With 12 games to go, there's still plenty of time to
salvage the season--but the schedule is about to get a lot tougher.
The New Orleans Saints are undefeated because they have focused on one thing:
playing great football. Unless President Obama and his men get serious and
focused on governing, they'll end up like the St. Louis Rams--winless, and
nearly owned by Rush Limbaugh.

It's now time for healing, and for fixing the damage the Democrats did
to America. |
