Here's a picture of my family. Son is King of the Fairies. He speaks
like a mobster, wears a crown and combat boots, carries a hatchet and
smokes a cigar. DIL is Bride of Dracula and Grandson (sorry you can't
see him) is a Lego piece. All costumes are pieced together/home made.

Very cute! Halloween was a bust, worse than ever. We had 4 kids,
then at the last minute someone dropped off 4 more.
I'm set for candy bars for a year.

It's been years since we had any number of kids come to our
neighbourhood. I used to get 70 -75 kids, that dwindled to only 13
last year and last night only had one at 7 pm. I shut down at 8. Now
I have 3 dozen 5" homemade oatmeal chocolate chip pumpkin spice
cookies to give to family and friends...at least they'll be
happy...lol...Sharon in Canada
I don't know about Canada but a lot of parents in the U.S. won't let
kids accept (keep) homemade anything when they go trick or treating. I
remember a long time ago hearing about razor blades inserted into apples
(probably an urban legend) and needles put into home-baked goods
(probably also an urban legend). I do remember hearing news reports on
television (this was over a decate ago, when I still lived in west TN)
of local hospitals setting up x-ray stations so their childrens' candy
could be checked for foreign objects. What a sad state of affairs :(
