There will be lots of "critters" out tonight, and they
don't like bird food!
Happy Halloween!

Big year here - a whole 15 trick or treaters - we're on the end of a dead
end, have a long and steep driveway. Only the most hardy arrive - fueled by
the knowledge I give out full size bars.

Cheryl

We live on the end of a road too, in suburbia, We had 3 trick or
treaters all night!

You need to move into a condo complex.

That might be the last time we had a "big" night.

Though there was the year I scared the neighbor's teen age son. It was a
lovely warm Halloween night and I was sitting on the deck in flannel shirt
and jeans. When I said "hi Bren" I scared the kid so bad he dropped his
candy.

We are in one, well its a town home housing development anyway. It's
ok, I don't mind getting more birds to visit my feeders than I get trick
or treaters on Halloween.

Speaking of which, in the past 2 weekends I've had 3 new and very
exciting avian visitors - Red-belly Woodpecker, Blue Jay, and a purple
finch! :D

I just hope they all continue to return. (I'm in Northern IL)

I'm guessing that if one jay found you the troupe will be in in a few days.

We had a single (or one-at-a-time) Redbelly visitor for several years.

Now we have one in the BOSS feeder or on the platform almost constantly,
some times two. (There are territorial and chase folk away, sometimes.)

I'm guessing the finches will find out about you too.
