Ok i admit it i stole the title from kicker magazine but on the
weekend I get back to watching the Bundesliga live on Satellite TV
this is probably the most interesting game of the weekend. Adler v
Neuer and a chance to take first place, assuming Hamburg slips ( they
wont). Based on the Russia game I have to assume that Adler is going
to be the new national team keeper, also seems to be stories of him
going to Manchester? The Stuttgart v Bayern would be interesting with
Gomez playing his old club and Babbel coaching against his old club,
but Stuttgart are so low in the table it hardly seems exciting. You
also have Grafite coming back from his week in the sun in Brazil but
he wont be playing and it hardly seems like such a big deal anyhow?

1 Bayer 04 13 22
2 HSV 12 22
3 Werder 13 21
4 Schalke 04 7 20
5 FC Bayern 8 18
6 Hoffenheim 9 17
7 Wolfsburg 2 17
8 Mainz 05 1 17
9 Eintracht -2 13
10 Dortmund -4 13
11 Hannover 1 12
12 Freiburg -8 10
13 1. FC Köln -4 9
14 Stuttgart -5 8
15 M'gladbach -8 8
16 Nürnberg -8 8
17 Bochum -11 8
18 Hertha BSC -16 4

Dortmund - Hertha (Fr.) -:- (-Smile
Is their any chance Hertha can win this game? Well anything is
possible if you put your mind to it, but I really can not see it
happening.

Nürnbg. - Bremen (Sa.) -:- (-Smile
Bremen is the best team in the bundesliga now contrary to what the
standings show and what others are saying, in fact they could go into
first place if a couple of other games work out for them, but rest
assured they will be first place by Christmas. Some great attacking
players and a solid defense with some good goalkeeping, even Frings is
playing like he use to. The only thing that can stop Bremen is losing
players in the transfer market in January or injury crisis. No way
that Nurnberg will win this game, judging by their goal scoring record
i doubt they score a goal.

Köln - Hannover -:- (-Smile
I think Cologne is starting to get better? They got a couple of draws
against tough teams so I have to assume they get a win against
Hannover.

Hamburg - M'gladbach -:- (-Smile
Regardless of the injury problems Hamburg keep having they still keep
producing results. Since we all are closet gladbach fans we would all
like to see a draw or even a gladbach win.

Stuttgart - Bayern -:- (-Smile
Yes i want Stuttgart to win and not because i hate Bayern but because
i really feel sorry for Markus Babbel. Sure it also helps Bremen's
chances as well, but nope, not a Bayern hater. I hope this game is on
TV because I would like to see Thomas Mueller play.

Wolfsburg - Mainz -:- (-Smile
Grafite is back from Brazil and his mental relaxation holiday or
whatever it is being called? Normally when somebody has a "holiday" or
"separation" or needs time apart it means that their will soon be a
break up. Maybe i am just that not tuned in to Veh and his ways ( hey
that kinda rhymes) but i am not sure what the market is for a late
blooming 30+ year old forward? This looks like it could be a good game
also but I have to pick KDf stadt to win.

Schalke - Leverkusen -:- (-Smile
The game of the week and the goaltending duel and the battle for 1st
( almost ) rolled into one game! Schalke showed some great
determination getting a last minute draw v hamburg last week. Kuranyi
seems to be having a good year but then again so is Kiessling and he
just got called up for the friendlies next month. tough one to call so
i will have to pick a draw and anyhow a draw is what we all want
anyway. On the goaltending showdown, i liked Neuer at first and
thought he was the future keeper for Germany but now i would have to
go with Adler especially based on his performance against Russia. For
a keeper with 5 caps he performed very well.

Freiburg - Hoffenh. (So.) -:- (-Smile
Hoff are not playing in Europe this year and i can see them creeping
towards the top by the end of the season. Frieburg will be
dissapointed with the loss to Mainz last week so it will not be easy,
but Hoff should win.

Frankfurt - Bochum -:- (-:-
After coming so close against Bayern last week Frankfurt were solidly
beaten by them in the midweek, so they will want to get back to
winning ways and Bochum should allow them just that

Dortmund lost in the cup in midweek (to Osnabrück). Will there be a
reaction to that ?

Stuttgart also went out in the cup in midweek to Fürth.

When will Mainz's bubble burst ? Maybe now.

Both teams have been drawing vs. their chief competitors of late. So
same again.

Dreary match decided by a stupid penalty to Dortmund. Should have been 0-0.
