Hi All,

English Touring Opera's Handel Fest is coming to Cambridge (ye olde,
not Mass') where I live in a few weeks time. I doubt I'll be able to
afford to do each night so I was thinking of going twice, once with my
wife who is not an opera fan, and once with my 14 year old son who is.
But I cannot decide which ones to see! They are showing
Flavio,Teseo,Tolomeo, Alcina, and Ariodante. I've seen a three Handel
operas before:
- Giulio Cesare (twice, once the amazing Glyndborn production at The
Proms),
- Partenope (I saw the fabulous ENO production with my son Will),
- and Ariodante (Will and I saw an pedantic authentic production
locally).

Any favourites from Flavio,Teseo,Tolomeo, Alcina, and Ariodante you'd
urge me to see?

Cheers,

Tim.

Hi Tim

Would really recommend the Ariodante and the Tolomeo, which were both
bloody good.

You can find very detailed reviews of all 5 on Opera Britannia

http://www.opera-britannia.com/

They are all on the main page, you just need to scroll down a bit

Best wishes
