Just glanced at the Copa del Rey scores and saw Alcorcón 4 - 0 Real
Madrid.
Say what?
I can't find any FC Alcorcón, is this FC Trival Valeras (who are in
the Tercera, from Alcorcón)? |

Found em, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AD_Alcorc%C3%B3n. They're in
the Segunda División B.
Congratulations, AD Alcorcón! |

Stunning. Any idea who played for RM? They were without Kaka and C-
Ron. From what I've been able to gather, Raul, RVN, Dudek, and Arbeloa
(who had an OG!) all saw playing time. |

All of the following saw match time:

Van der Vaart
Guti
Gago
Drenthe
Arbeloa
Dudek |

I believe Shambolic has filed a case in court demanding that all their
associations with Real Madrid's defense be terminated immediately.
Other fun facts:
- Alcorcon plays in the third tier of Spanish football.
- Their stadium's capacity is 3000.
- They actually have a foreign player, a Frenchman called Jeremy. |

And it appears that Dudek was the best of the lot, by far.
You can catch the full highlights onwww.marca.es. Alcorcon also hit a post
a missed another golden chance late in the game. By the way, kudos to the
Spanish FA for allowing the possibility of these types of matches. Too bad
only that there will be a return leg, so Real could actually still qualify
for the next round.
D
I expect RM to unleash the dogs of war and come away with a 6+ goal
win in the second leg, but the humiliation cannot be undone. |

I assume that if it ends at 4-0 (after extra time) they'd go to PKs.
Wouldn't it be something if RM ended up losing on PKs? |

I'm not so sure; they haven't won the Copa del Rey since '93 and, from
what I've read, recently been dumped out early by Tercera sides in the
past. I think they just don't care about it. |

That may well be, but they have a lot of pride to restore. Four of
their staff (Valdano, Pellegrini, Raul, Guti) have even issued a
public apology to the fans. I think they'll be up for it. |

Has Barca ever been humiliated like this in the Copa?
No idea, but they play Cultural Leonesa in a little while. Go Culture! |
