I got an email from Ms Marc in answer to a query and she said that she
sang a High D in Friedenstag. Is anyone familiar with her recording of
this and if it is worth it for me to buy it. I was always curious what
her big voice in it's prime sounding like above C. She recorded Zweite
Brautnacht when she was older and only lightly touched the C#. She is
not doing much work now and sounded bitter that the Seattle Symphony
never asked her back, which was a pity. Her Verdi Requiem was the most
beautiful and thrilling dramatic soprano singing I've ever heard. |
