And one other thing ... Do you think part of the
health care
push
is to
cover up for the Wall Street ripoff? Money that
could be
used
for
health care and many other important issues, maybe
more
important
was lost forever, apparently, to predatory
investment

No. The health care push has been on the table for
years.

Why is government controlled health care the only
solution?

who said that it is?

Are you now anti-public option and pro private
solutions?

Excuse me, but to those capable of thought, "option"
implies one of
a
number of alternatives.

Got it?

You make me laugh at your gullibility. Do you need to be
deprogrammed
at
the dinner table like we have to do with our daughter after
her daily
programming at school?

OK, so you concede that you did not understand what "option"
meant.
Probably a good idea if you actually went to school with your
daughter
one day, and sat in on her reading comprehension class.

"Option" implies a number of alternatives. "Public Option"
implies one
of
the alternatives.

Brilliant! So health care with a public option is not
"government
controlled health care"

Actually the public option part would be government controlled.
It's also
the first step to a single payer system which is what Obama really
wants.

Yes - and there is the difference that poor ol' Bertie can't quite
grasp. The public part is government controlled, but the rest IS
NOT!

Of course, if you choose to see a reds under the bed conspiracy in
this,
that's up to you. In any case, an awful lot of folk would be very
happy
with a single payor system.

Fortunately there are more who wouldn't be happy with it.

That darned liberal thing called reality is knocking at your door to
laugh at you.

http://www.healthcare-now.org/another-poll-shows-majority-support-for-single-payer/

A New York Times/CBS News poll released last week shows, yet again,
that the majority of Americans support national health insurance.

The poll, which compares answers to the same questions from 30 years
ago, finds that, "59% [of Americans] say the government should
provide national health insurance, including 49% who say such
insurance should cover all medical problems."

Only 32% think that insurance should be left to private enterprise.

Healthcare-now.org, yeah no agenda there.

You should stay away from the drugs man --- it's a CBS NYTimes poll --
BrainDamaged BAR -- another sad case of the meth addict & a computer?

CBS/NYT, yeah no agenda there.

whatever -- the truth is you can't even figure out who did the poll when
it was RIGHT in front of you -- get off the drugs now.

As soon as you get off the Kool-aid.

Once more -- a 3rd grade answer that cannot address his own short-comings.

I do love watching you flail about though.

Nice try dude.

Where options require choices, when there is only one choice there
are
no options.

Why has the public option been renamed the competitive option? It
sounds
like Congress is trying to sugar coat a piece of shit to make it
easier
to swallow.

How many Sham-Wow's have you bought? You will believe anything they
tell

You seem to be confused between a "public option" and a single payer
system. Lie down for a while and it might become clear.

All health insurance companies negotiate rates with Drs. and Hospitals,
trying to achieve the lowest rate possible. What does antitrust regulations
have to do with this process?

It's called price fixing, which for health insurance companies
includes not only the premiums they charge, but also the amount they
pay to doctors. In reality, the doctors are in a much weaker position
than the policy holders. Most people have PPO insurance and will
usually stay within their network. If a physician isn't happy with
what he/she is getting, the only choice is to leave the network and
lose the patients from that network.

Good Gawd Chris, you know isn't true. Republicans had only two choices.....
acquiesce or get out of the way. Only the Senate Finance committee actually
listened to the Republicans and in return, earned one of their votes.

Good Gawd Chris, you know isn't true.

I've seen the votes. It is true.

The Republicans all year long, on everything Obama has asked
for, have voted as a bloc against everything. They don't want
to participate in the crafting of legislation, they just want
to impede it. That's their right, but there is a cost.
