8 5 Toy Story / Toy Story 2 (3D) $3,016,580 -61.2% 1,489 -263 $2,026 $28,554,678

116 $9.99 $625 2 $313 $50,410
Last weekend, "Cloudy" passed the $100M mark, also covering its reported
budget with its domestic boxoffice alone.
I thought the "Toy Story" double feature was supposed to be for only two
weeks.....
This week, "Astro Boy" opens. Let's see how well this new version of
the anime perennial goes over.

I think it's safe to say that it'll do better than Ponyo :-(
Terrence Briggs, heard an Astroboy review on the Tony Kornhiser Radio
Podcast. The reviewer was clearly an otaku |

Actually, its first two weekends were so poor, that if it does pass
"Ponyo" it'll do so just barely. There's even a reasonable chance that it'll
do worse than "Ponyo". Either way, "Astro Boy" needed 3020 theaters to
accomplish what "Ponyo" did in only around 900.
