The FarSeas Connecting Railroad proudly announces the grand opening of the
newly built Norris Yard in Denville NJ. Norris Yard is the six track, main
classification of the FSC. Built as a hump yard in HO scale it has processed
the first two trains to reach it. Construction started in early September
and was completed early today, October 15, 2009.

I'm looking forward to pictures of your work.

What DO you call the first train through a layout? (Grand opening?)

Rail laying has a "last spike"
Telescopes have "first light"
Buildings have "topping off"

Obviously, it should be the "Pioneer Limited."

But others which come to mind:

The Challenger
Limited Capital
The "400" (bugs to be worked out)
The Rebel
St. Louis Mule (operation can be stubborn)
