I have tried searching for multiple terms lately and keep getting
informed that no matches were found.

Anyone else experiencing this with google? One of the best pyro
resources is the rec.pyrotechnics archives and it's not working.

I need info!!!!

Your right, it is not working. Maybe a maintenance thing or something
else. I have not visited this site for some time, it looks like it
has gone to hell. I sure hope I'm wrong.

Well it does not appear that the search is not working, it seems it is
just not searching anything more than a few days old. Does anyone have
any suggestions? The amount of information in the archives is
overwhelming and I would really like to be able to search it. Even if
this requires using something besides google.

I am pretty clueless about the whole usenet thing so if someone has a
suggestions I would love to hear it. Oh and please make sure you speak
slowly so that I can follow. :)

Thanks!

Go here;

http://groups.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en&q=&hl=en&

Damn "&" shows black, be sure to include it. From there, ( Google advanced
search in the 'more' >'groups' tab ) using the fill in blanks for author I
get this:

http://groups.google.com/groups/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&as_q=&as_epq=rec+pyrotechnics&as_oq=&as_eq=&num=10&scoring=&lr=&as_sitesearch=&as_drrb=q&as_qdr=&as_mind=1&as_minm=1&as_miny=2009&as_maxd=1&as_maxm=1&as_maxy=2009&as_ugroup=rec.pyrotechnics&as_usubject=&as_uauthors=Lloyd+E.+Sponenburgh&safe=off

which may truncate also but shows 256 articles of Lloyds going back a ways.

This one;

http://groups.google.com/groups/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&as_q=&as_epq=&as_oq=charcoal&as_eq=&num=10&scoring=&lr=&as_sitesearch=&as_drrb=q&as_qdr=&as_mind=1&as_minm=1&as_miny=2009&as_maxd=1&as_maxm=1&as_maxy=2009&as_ugroup=rec.pyrotechnics&as_usubject=&as_uauthors=&safe=off

searches only for 'charcoal' and shows 200 plus messages, also going back a
ways.

Got to read the instructions carefully it seems.

This happens frequently on Deja Google, usually on weekends. I
suggest you wait until next week.
