The web cam on Mt Washburn in YNP has been re-oriented to show a fire on
Druid Peak, along the northeast entrance road, instead of it's usual view of
the caldera. The view of the fire may not last long, but if you would like
to see a different view of YNP go to:

http://www.nps.gov/archive/yell/tours/livecams/mtwashburn/index.htm

The fire was started by lightening on August 30. It has burned 230 acres
and is being allowed to burn. It is the 15th fire in YNP this summer and
the first to exceed 1/2 acre in size. Thirteen of the fires were started by
lightening.
