Opponents wanted: up front...

I recently dusted off my old copy of Up Front and would like to find
some opponents. It's been a while since I played so at least to start
with I'd like to play scenario A a few times (using rules through
section 16). The way to play is probably to use the vassal system:

thanks!

Hi! Please let me know if you've found someone already.

I've been looking at the Vassel system, but haven't played any games
with it yet. I own a copy of Up Front and all the AH expansions.
I think the last time I played Up Front was back in the mid 90's,
and have only played it against my wife. I never seemed to get
terribly good at it (my wife has beaten me at it, and she's not
a wargamer).

I'm older and have been wargaming for a long time. I've not been
good at finding opponents, though, so most of my experience has been
solo. I own many wargames, as well as various sets of rules for
miniatures (mostly Napoleonic, WWII naval, and microarmor). My
biggest defect is that I can take a long time to complete my move
(in FTF play, so PBeM using Vassel may be a useful alternative for
some games), but I think most of the problem is because I've never
played any one game enough times to get quick at it.

Best of all, I'm local (the Ballard area of Seattle).

Let me know if you're interested.

Are you guys familiar with Metro Seattle Gamers? I know we have at least
one and probably more gamers interested in UpFront. Try

I suggest joining the Up Front Yahoo group, a low-traffic mailing list
for Up Front fans. You should be able to find opponents quite easily
by using it.
