Hello there,
New here, but here is my question.
I recently bought a new 2007 Loft Sails 6.8 Blade sail. Third time
rigging it, the two battens on either side of the boom broke as I
picked it up to take it to the water. They both snapped along the
seam of the luff sleeve nearest the mast, about 10 cm from the
cambers. I have never seen or heard of battens breaking on the beach.
Is this common for this sail? Perhaps for this year & model? Is
there a warranty?
I contacted the Gorge Surf Shop, one of 2 distributors for Loft Sails,
by phone and by email last week. I must say that I am quite
disappointed with the them as I have not heard back from them at all.
If there is no warranty, I have am willing to buy them, no problem. I
just need 2 battens, this should not be problematic for a national
distributor.
Thanks |

Why don't you try going to the Loft Sails forum?
