Large Carbon Boom...

The Maui Sails carbon boom seems to be the weapon of choice these
days, but the price is keeping it out of reach for me. I'm looking at
two more affordable options:

1 Chinook Triple Clamp Carbon Formula 230-310cm
2 HPL Race 245-305cm

I suspect that the HPL will be stiffer and can be retrofitted with the
Maui Sails boom head for about the same price as the Chinook boom.
Somewhat concerned with product support since HPL is out of
business.

Any feedback on either?

Any others to consider?

Thanks in advance,
JohnK

Mistakenly, I put this message: >> Recently I bought an Epic Gear
250+ Race boom from Sandy Pt. (http://
www.progressivesports.com/) for an exceptionally low price and
shipping cost. I used the boom yesterday and have no complaints.
It's solid, stiff and light.<< up on a new thread.

Did you get it for half-price, Brucie?
