Basically, what would you like to see from the film/animation studios?
(aside from competent writing and animation)
More animated genie shows?
More giant robots?
Better (female) character designs?
More fan-service, even? ^_^!
More mature characters in better stories. Look at "Maison
Ikkoku" if
you need to understand what I mean or "Yawara, a fashionable judo
girl."
This could be helped by a wider ranging choice of stories.
After you
see one good formula story you aren't too interested in seeing more
unless you have a fixation on the character types.

Speaking of realistic romance, I just watched the first DVD of
Genshiken 2 today (and I already finished the translated manga).
Genshiken 2? Rented ( Netflix? ), or R2 DVD, or R1? I thought the R1
release was the 25th, so me eager to know, please please.

Then again, there are probably some things that have been animated that
in fact would have work better in live action (although this is usually
when you're talking about a cartoon that is itself an adaptation, and
they should have gone from book/manga to live action instead of to
anime).
Almost certainly ... although I can't think of any off the top of my head. |

Sanctuary worked better live action then animated... heck, it worked
better then the original manga :)

"Fan service"?

(One thing I will suggest, though, is that crossovers akin to/bigger than
Kingdom Hearts are one idea to consider)
Speaking of crossovers:

Those are the exact things I'd like to see more of. I like my fan
service ("NIL FECES, DAVE?"), but there'll never be a shortage of
that.
I have to agree with Dave, here. If a story isn't told well, it's crap,
no matter how many shiny-of-the-month elements it hs in it.

Nah. The REAL secret weapon of Pixar was Steve Jobs. |
