Is it still allowed to start a discussion thread here?
I'm just back from Budapest and came across a very large book
of Hungarian folk dances transcribed into Labanotation. I'd
have been tempted to buy it if I knew anyone round here who
could use that to teach a dance, but I don't. Is it ever used
in the folkdance scene?

Theoretically, but there just aren't very many of us left, AFAICT.
I've heard of Labanotation but know almost nothing about it.
