Also, I would recommend getting a bag with an internal drawstring just
above the shoulders. It makes a big difference, as it keep body heat
from being lost through the opening around the top/hood.

I've sweated in some bags when the morning temps started rising.
You're supposed to get out of it in the morning lazy ass Smile

lol I've got a Coleman bag that over 80 inches long.

I wanted a shorted bag, but that was all they had.

Thanks for all the answers.
Here is a translation (slightly altered Google translation) of my
conclusions in the forum :
Thaks once more and enjoy the great outdoor (not so omnipresent in Belgium)
Roger

I know this shop and they prposed a North Face.
But I think I will just go for artificial filling up to -5 ° C.
Weight plays no role and artificial filling is cheaper. This is indeed the
third bag in Tancarville and I do not have much room.
There is also a Makro sleeping bag because my alpine sleeping bag gets much
too hot as off 15 ° -18 ° .... maybe I should also buy a camper with a king
size bed ....
Anyway I am not rushing because sleeping bags are not discounted during
summer sales.
I find it however regrettable that the "marketing drive" is clearly leading
to "excessive" specifications, at least that is my feeling ...
Thanks again
Tancarville.

Oh, actually I have 4 sleeping bags, because my lakenzak of Youth Hostels
(Oh Happy Days!) Is there too - untouched ...

Certainly in the United States, we have a many "closeout" retailers.
This is one particular favorite of mine. I purchased a zipperless
GoLite bag there a few years ago (it was really cheap). I've also
been to their store in Reno, Nevada. This is just for information
purposes.

At least in locally (for myself) there are other options. The North
Face has an "outlet" location with overstocks, discontinued, or
"cosmetic seconds" in Berkeley, California. It's in their former
headquarters warehouse. They often have sales on top of their
standard discounts, as well as "sample sales" where they sell off
their salesman's samples. I've gotten some really good stuff with
those events including a 70L backpack for US $50. Nothing they have
there carries their warranty, but I don't consider that a big deal.

Well - another possibility is to simply get a secondary bag (liner)
that can be used either inside or outside. Here is an example. You
would probably need to experiment a bit to see what works.

I prefer synthetic anyway. It will keep you warm when wet, when a down
bag will let you freeze to death.
