total: 11 miles.

Took it easy this week. Goals: build base up to a consistent 30 mpw.

Why such a big goal? You can do 15 miles a week and be in great
shape, and be good to go for 10k races.

Doesn't work for me. 32-33 average works. Up to 50 in the warmer
months, drop to mid twenties in the colder months.

Anything less, I start to gain weight, get sluggish, and while I'm
sure I can get to the finish line of that 10K with fifteen a week, I
don't think I can be competitive.

Unfortunately, anything more and I tend to break down, get injuries,
Can't seem to sustain a higher average. Maybe age, maybe attitude.

If you think 15mpw would put a person in "great shape", think about the
shape they'd be in with 30mpw or 45 mpw or ...

Some of us need to run more to satisfy our running urges.
