Howdy All,
Took the 3 boys out to run jack, fat old lady decided to stay home.
They got to run 2 jacks. The first was a tail chase across a field with
no real pressure, but it lasted just under a minute and Neezer and Aaba
got a good look at it.
#2 was a little more interesting. We were walking a line of brush with
open field on the left. Just about the end of our hunt with the Jeep
just a few hundred feet away and 2 of the dogs are there and I'm
starting to angle toward it. Neezer is hunting the last few bushes when
jack breaks left into the field. Neezer is 5' back and putting pressure
on jack. Aaba saw things and trailed. Jack feels Neezer and jukes right
about 45° then back to the left with Neezer still there. This gave
Aaba a little bit of time t start catching up and stay on the left
flank. Then jack turns hard right to cross a small road then turns right
when he gets on the other side with Neezer staying right with him and
Aaba making up a little more ground. This goes on for a couple hundred
yards, then on to a gravel area where there are some camper like
trailers and some wooden crates. Neezer is about 20' behind when they
get to this stuff. Jack goes under a trailer and out the other side,
Neezer went left to continue the chase. Aaba who was on the right flank
of jack and was about 30' back tried to maneuver through the stuff and
went out of my sight..........all I heard was the "thump". I don't hear
him making any sounds and he didn't come out the other side. Jazz, who
had been standing at the Jeep goes over to check on Aaba. They both come
out in the open so I can see. Aaba is limping, when he gets back to me I
check him out. Scraped some skin but is fine. Neezer came back a few
minutes later with his tongue hanging out. This run lasted just over a
minute.
