So, my Sari has decided that founder is fun so I need to put her in a
stall. I can kiss her on the forehead but can't give her the remote
for the television or a stack of books to keep her occupied.

She is alone out there with no one close to talk to.

Any ideas on how to combat the boredom she will get??

Is she already foundered, or just likely to? Hope she's OK. It's a
long and trying recovery process. Try using a canvas haybag that only
has one or two holes -- makes the horse work a lot harder to pull the
hay out in smaller bites, and takes a lot longer to eat. Do you have
any way to borrow a companion horse or pony (or goat!) that you can
put near her? When my horse foundered and was confined for many months
one of the barn cats adopted him and slept in his feed tub, which was
awfully cute but we all know better than to try to tell a cat what to
do! I also tried many of the horse toys - the licky roller thing
worked pretty well for a while, as did some pellets/small treats in an
uncapped 2-liter plastic soda bottle, which he'd push around until
some pellets fell out to be eaten. Good luck!
