Ugh! Hip-hop disgusts me with stories like this. The insistence on
embracing criminality and negativity to the extent where your favorite
rapper must have a prior criminal record and must get arrested for
something within one week of his record release to make him "real" is
ignorant. I'm embarrassed by it.
So what if he was formerly a CO? I thought his CD was rather good.
Shouldn't that be enough? |

and negativity in an attempt to make money off of it...
why didn't the dumbass just say yeah i was a CO instead of not

I pretty much side with H8ER here... I get your point Mocha... but
true - it's Rick Ross (the rapper) who embraced the ideas of
criminality in order to sell records. So, therefore it would be Rick
Ross who is selling the criminality to kids... and it's even worse if
it is false.
I'd also like to say that this doesn't just go on in rap... there's a
great book by some Irish guy who went to school with Paul Hewson...
who tells the story of how Hewson took his look and even his name
(Bono) and turned it into Platinum records. |

fact that he feels that he must deny it to preserve his career
(assuming it's true) and the fact that something like this is relevant
or even newsworthy.
