Seems no 2008 Shadow 600 (just a 2007). Do they skip years, or is this gone
from their lineup?

It's probably gone. The US importers won't be happy until all of us are
driving two liter plus displacement bikes.
I'd love to be able to buy one of Honda's 250cc inline four street bikes
that are/were sold in Japan. Can you imagine how it must sound when revving
up to the 17k rpm red line? Instead, most of us are stuck buying v-twin
powered cocktail shakers at extravagant prices.
