He wasn't trying hard enough, was he?

Makes my 83mph (hard on the brakes) in a 45mph zone look downright
namby pamby!  Reckless driving, though, by Virginia state law.

Not that is really any my business, but curiousity is killing me.

What was the fine and did you take a hit on your insurance?

My ticket (74 in a 65) cost me about $80, I won't know about insurance until
next year.

Eggshually, the ticket was two years ago, and the fine was $135 and my
insurance didn't even notice it.

Not that unusual.

I know a guy who passed a bunch of slow Harleys on some poker run in Nevada
at a speed over 140 and got nailed.

He told the cop his thinking was, "If he didn't get to the poker card stop
before they did, he'd probably get left with the last ugly hooker in Nevada"
(next poker stop was a brothel outside Carson City). The cop laughed and
asked him who he wanted to see there. He told the cop the girl's name (he's
been to them before) and the cop agreed and said he stops in during his slow
time and plays cards with her when he checks out the place. He got a
ticket, but seems it never got turned in. Maybe the cop tossed it, but he
sure rode slower for a long, long time thinking his next stop would be an
arrest for failure to show or pay. He was paranoid of any cop, too, after
that.

"The fear of the unknown can control your actions far better."
