We have a nest of black capped chickadees on the deck, and this morning
I see a large pile of nesting material pulled out and on the railing? I
also noted the birds are still going in the nest so I wondered what's
up, would a house wren do this to the nest? Should I open box and check
on the eggs? Bird house was set out about two weeks ago and birds found
it within a day or so.

Once we had a couple of Finches in cage, male and female. We put nesting
material on the bottom, and had a little house for them in the cage.
They chattered a lot. The male Finch would bring nesting material to the
little house and the female would be making the nest. If the male stuck
any material into the house, the female would chatter like crazy and
through everything out. It was her way or no way.
