Howdy All,
Had 3 of the dogs out to run along with the pitbull mix and the cattle
dog. The jacks have been staying in the heavy brush a lot lately because
of coyote activity so the coursing hasn't gone well. We had been out for
about an hour. We were walking a road next to the open field coming up
on the last brush area. Aaba was ahead of the rest of us. He checked out
the bushes and nothing. I turnedinto the field and got about 50 yards
then stopped to water the dogs. After about 10 minutes I packed up and
was putting on my sunglasses when the thundering heard went flying off
into the field. Neezer (who sees everything) spotted a jack running
across the open field. The tail chase went for almost a half mile before
jack made it to the heavy stuff. Just don't know what it was thiking but
it almost cost him. During the course they ran past an old well head. On
the way back the dogs came back the same way. That was too close for
another jack and off he went. This time Neezer was within 20' and was
able to give the guy a run for his money. The course looped around and
ended up in the heavy brush with the other jack. Good exersize for the
dogs today.

FYI, I like reading the posts about your dogs adventures. Usually I'm worn
out after reading about all they're running <g>

Howdy Sue,
Thanx, glad you like them. Wish I could write a lot better. It would
be nice if the jacks would co-operate a little more often.
