We've talked about the profusion of new bikes in the company parking
lots. Seeing the variety is a hoot. Every day there's something new.

Yesterday, I pulled in beside a bike under a cover. I glanced down and
saw...drum brakes? What might have drum brakes? Lifting the cover, I
saw a Nighthawk 750. ahhh yes. Couldn't tell what year it was, though.
Tonight, when leaving, I saw another strange bike next to mine. It was
a shiny new Suzuki DR-Z400SM. heh. Now, that looks like fun. I know
I'd get in trouble on that thing.

I wonder what's going to be there tomorrow...

I wasn't making a value judgement of any sort, just a model
differentiation distinction.  (I didn't refer to the 82/83 model
Nghthawk since it was a completely different motorcycle than the 91-99
model which most people think about when the Nighthawk name comes up
these days.)

Oddly enough, these days I'm seeing a lot more of the older Nighthawks on
the road.  Seems like everyone and their cousin had one moldering in the back
of the garage and they're being resurrected as gas prices go up.  I used to
be the only Nighthawk in the parking lot at work, and now we've got two 1st
gen models (650 & 750) ,two of the mid 80s Nighthawk S models, and my '93..
Go figure!

Well, they are practically indestructible, after all.
