Just bought one of these and can attest to its brightness although I've
yet to take to woods:

I'm not familiar with other bright led's but I think most cost twice the
$30 price for this one. It also has a lifetime warranty and can be
returned to Lowes for service.

Bow season is less than 3 months away and most of my hunting is late
afternoon. I like led's because of good use of batteries but others I
have are anemic compared to this one.

I occasionally take a shot near dusk, and I like
both white LED lights and mantle lanterns for
tracking in the dark, as they seem to make blood
red stand out pretty vividly compared with
incandescent bulbs. My white LED is no blinder
either, it's a triple triple-A on-the-forehead
job, so it's not the power but the spectrum that
does it. __________________________________Marty

The regular white LED makes blood stand out?
