Shimano derailleur. We got the bike at Target. When coasting, the
derailleur makes a clicking sound. Is there some way to eliminate that sound
or is that normal? The speed selector is in the handle. Thanks.

Is it the derailleur or the freewheel making the noise?
Another reason to avoid department store purchased bikes: who ya gonna call
when ya gotta problem? |

Problem number one....You bought the bike at Target.
Pay the extra ca$h and get a decent ride with some quality backup at
your local bike shop.
As for the clicking...well...you can try and make some adjustments
yourself. But, if you like, try going to a REAL bike shop that KNOWS
something and ask them about it.
Never know....you just MIGHT walk out with a pretty nice ride!!!!
