I recently scored these mystery fish :

(sorry about the image size and poor quality, its the best I can do right
now....)
and they just laid a bunch of eggs... OWndering if anyone can ID them, or
give me some pointers on care for the eggs/fry/young?
thanks

They look like a gourami or paradise fish of some kind to me, have they
built a bubble nest?

Yup, it looks like a kind of Paradize fish but also resemble the Lalia - a
hybrid perhaps....??

Thanks to everyone that responded. It is indeed a paradise fish, Macroposud
opercularis i think (But maybe M. cupanus dayi). They have buit a
rudiemntary bubblre nest, but they laid the eggs on the glass of the tank
instead of in the nest. Some of the eggs are on the other side of thank,
well away from the nest....

So far, the first batch of eggs hatched - little strings on top of large
yolk sacs. as far as I can tell, none survived. the second batch of eggs
should be hatching in the next few days....

Thakns agina
