The Kreepy Kawler in my pool keeps getting stuck on the steps.
Almost every time. Any way to prevent that?

No experince with KK but steps are no problem for Polaris. I've been a
polaris fan over 25 years. Great product.

I used to have one. Besides getting stuck on the steps it had a love affair
with the chrome ladder in the deep end.
Try adjusting the floats that attach to the tubing. And if I remember right,
there's a sliding cover that lets air in if the upper handle rises above the
water which will cause it to slack off away from the steps. It's a trial and
error thing.
I spent a lot of money replacing the floating tube sections and when the
round foot needed to be replaced I simply gave up and threw the whole thing
out. I wanted a pool cleaner that didn't depend on the filter running for
it's own operation.
