Mars crater named after Tooting
<http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4395660.stm>
*A newly-discovered crater on Mars could be named after south London's
Tooting.*
Planetary expert Pete Mouginis-Mark, 53, has applied to get the
meteorite crater named after his birthplace.
If he succeeds it will join other Martian craters named after British
places, including Maidstone and Crewe.
He discovered the 17.4-mile wide crater in September, close to one of
the Red Planet's small river valleys, which reminded him of Tooting Bec.

I guess that it's red-collar Martians who dwell there. But then again, Tooting Bec seems to have its own red collars :)

Ah but .... that oval in Catford looks suspiciously like an
extraterresterial landing site. I haven't noticed many red collars
(perhaps I'm not frequenting the correct papal edifices) but .....
there sure are a lot of suspiciously pointy heads. Many more than I've
noticed further to the west ..... |
