Hi all,
I noticed David Smukler's post asking for help identifying several dances.
Since I've found 5 such dances in my box, I took a look at his list and
think I've identified his Mystery Dance #5. But none of the ones I have
were on his list. Since I don't have the ability to post these on a web
page (yet), I've listed them below. If you can give me the dance names and
authors, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks much.
Bev

Hi Bev,

Thanks for identifying one of my mystery dances. I think I can return the
favor.

#4 below is Richfield Stomp, by Becky Hill. When she gave it to me, it ended
with a DSD and swing rather than the gypsy, but otherwise it's the same.

#5 below is indeed by Gene Hubert and is called Diagonal Discovery.

Actually, no, my version is bad.

Just in case anyone has actually noted this dance down (and you should, it's
a great dance), Bev & 2 Davids (now, there's a good band name....B&2D) have
had an email conversation about this, because I transcribed it incorrectly.
The A2 should be:

A2. Ends balance and swing; middle 4 right hand balance and square thru 2,
twice (so that they end up back beside their partner)

Thanks to David Millstone for asking the question, and David Smukler for
answering it !

In my dance box, I have a dance called 4 Square Contra, which is like the

above with the exception of A2. I think it is by Carlotta Wellington
A2 Long lines forward and back
Ladies chain (end facing down)
