This weekend, May 15-16, 2004, join the Metropolitan Dance & Social
Club and the Elegant Arts Society for the 1904 Centennial Dance
Weekend in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Join us in celebrating the
anniversary of the St. Louis World's Fair, the naming of Times Square,
the election of Teddy Roosevelt, and the invention of the banana split
with a weekend of the ballroom dances of one hundred years ago.
Review or learn the dances at a set of Saturday afternoon workshops;
waltz and two-step the night away at a formal ball Saturday night to
the delightful music of the Flying Romanos, and enjoy informal dancing
to recorded music Sunday at our Ice Cream Tea Dance.
Advance registration is closed, but space for all workshops and events
will be available at the door.
