I had an idea for a GSP Multimedia device that you could take on hikes.
You'd slot in a CD with a series of informational presentations for a
specific hike. When you reach each of the destinations, the device would
give you the presentation, such as information on the foliage, geology,
sights, or whatever. Somewhat like having a guided hike with a trained
naturalist. (Each disk could also include safety information, a short
medical reference for first aid, survival tips, camping/hiking tips, &c.)

This idea probably isn't original, but if it is I'd be interested if
somebody could put together such a unit with a selection of disks. :)
