Hi Group,

On birdforum.net, we completed the Great Global Bird Species Count this past
weekend. I'm curious to see what the final tally is worldwide.
As for my count, I could only do my yard this weekend but still ended up
with 26 species... not so bad! Listed in order of first seen:
1. Evening Grosbeak
2. Purple Finch
3. American Goldfinch
4. Pine Siskin
5. Chipping Sparrow
6. Black Capped Chickadee
7. Common Raven
8. American Crow
9. White Crowned Sparrow
10. White Throated Sparrow
11. Red Breasted Nuthatch
12. Dark Eyed Junco
13. Red Winged Blackbird
14. Common Grackle
15. European Starling
16. Golden Eagle *Hubby saw at old place
17. Cooper's Hawk *Hubby saw at old place
18. Sharp-Shinned Hawk
19. Sandhill Cranes... I saw and heard a flock of 5 fly over!
20. Ruby Throated Hummingbird
21. American Robin
22. Hairy Woodpecker
23. Mourning Dove
24. Rose Breasted Grosbeak
25. Gray Jay *Hubby saw at the old place
26. Tree Swallow

Anyone else from here participate in this count?

Tammie thats a very nice tally!!!!

I am still feederless after the bear depredations, but the weekend was
soooooooo busy with work and travel, I didn't have a minute to miss the
feathered ones.
