What do I need to add to my project to take advantage of the ribbon instead
of a menu bar?

I would recommend you hop over to DevExpress and buy their commercial
component:

http://devexpress.com/Products/NET/Controls/WinForms/Bars/

I've dealt with DevExpress in the past and not only are their products
great, but the pricing is good as well, and their customer service is
amazing.

I also believe you can use a component from Microsoft, but I'm not
sure of the details - you might google it and see what turns up.

Thanks,
