I did most of the WU that came out today.
I have 3 updates for framework (2 came out today), and wonder if these
all need to be done, and whether they can be done at the same time.
What confuses me is that each one is for a different version of framework.
The updates are:
Framework 3.5 SP1 (KB951847)
Framework 2.0 SP1 Update (KB953300)
Framework 1.1 SP1 Security Update (KB953297)
(I had put off installing the Framework 3.5 SP1 update, because when I
did it at work, it seemed massive, and took a long time to install.)
So what should i do, or should I just tell Windows Update to do its
thing and install all of them the way it wants to?

I would expect that if one update required one of the others, the two
would be rolled into a single update. Granted, I don't know for sure,
but ideally Microsoft would not allow the option of having an update
basically only half-installed.
That said, an update being larger than others is not IMHO a good reason
to avoid installing it. Just go ahead and install everything, and then
you don't need to worry about what's dependent on what. :)
