Could someone tell me if person A adds one column to a table in the
database in person A's schema, will person B see the change from
person B's schema in the same database? TIA

Lets call person A's table simply table A for simplicity.

If person B is allowed to see table A then they will see any changes to
the table.

However person B might _thinbk_ they are looking at table A but actually
be looking at a synonym of something else, such as a view that restricts
what they can see in table A. Then they won't see any changes to "A"
because it isn't actually table A they are looking at.
