I have a knowledge base structured as set of statements in the form:
(subject, property, value)
I need to implement a question-answering system on this knowledge
base. Can you suggest ways or pointers or open source software for
this project.
Thanks,
Chandra |

If it is as simple as you say, would it be possible to use SQ? There
are open source contribution which will add SQL to Google Big Table.

I'm sorry, what's SQ? How Google Big Table is related to Question
Answering problem? |

Sorry about SQ I meant SQL. Relevance of "Big Table?". The relevance
is linked to the use of SQL. I merely stated that you could answer
questions using SQl.
BTW - Web 2.0 is about RDF tags. SQL is what is proposed to order
these tags and retrieve them, and in consequence the website.
Chatterboxes essentially retrieve and modify data.

Ah........
Anyway, Chandra asked a very good question. I think we all would be
glad to see here qualitative replies.
1) Question Answering:
a) Methods and Technologies
b) Open Source software
In particular: "Question Answering" applied to "Descriptive Logic-
oriented knowledge domain"
Thanks ahead for qualitative responses!

The point I am making about SQL is that he only has 3 entries and an
SQL database (there are many implementations) would seem to fit the
bill. If you are phrasing questions in a more general way the
situation is more complicated.

Thanks Ian. Those suggestions were helpful
However, I modeled my facts as an RDF database and used SPARQL which
is similar to SQL. I thought the premise of using a knowledge
representation language goes well with researchers. |
