what is the latest wine-version supporting my old libc?
recent wine from winehq does refuse to start because only
libc-2.3 and up are supported. (strangely nothing was said
of this dependency by the configuration-script.) winex doesn't
work as wine-replacement anymore, and I guess if it did then
it too would require one of those new libc versions. last time
I compiled libc my whole system crashed, so I had to bring back
the old libc. is there any other wine-derivative which doesn't
have that dependency? does crossover support my libc-2.2? is
there any possibility to statically-link wine with a libc which
I didn't install yet but merely compile?
