Is there a wway to copy the layer strudture from one part/assy to
another? checking 'associative' and a regen should apply the rules yes/
no? |

The really limiting factor in what you need is getting the layer definition or "rules" across. The only way I know of to do that is with Model Check. If the problem was just names/structure, that would be fairly simple to do. Actually, MC can be set up to do a lot of clean up on models, assemblies and drawings, like adding and deleting parameters, changing layer status or deleting empty layers and doing all the clean up in conjunction with the release of parts/drawings. I think there might even be something on PTC.com on configuring MC.
