In Quattro Pro.v.8
at (no spam) avg(C123..C132) does not function
i.e. this string just appears in the cell as text.
How can I make it take an average?
Help file says "You can use F9 to instantly calculate results of a formula "
but F9 on this cell does nothing: the text string remains.
F2 highlights (boxes) the array: but next CR does not calculate the average.

It should work. Check that the target cell is not formatted as text.
All I can think of. |

OK: cell format was formerly "text," now is reset "User
defined" and function executes OK. (I can look deeper,
but this point seems omitted from on-line help.) Thank you.
