I'm looking to get a few EPROM's burned, some 27128's, one 1541-II ROM and
one 1541C rev 02 ROM. Who here can do this for me, and what cost?

if you or someone in your neighborhood has the
ability to program modern Flash chips, the
Atmel AT29C256 is a direct replacement for
2764, 27128, and 27256 EPROMs albeit oversized
for the first two.
I saw instructions somwhere in the internet
that you can make use of certain Ethernet
cards to flash such chips with your custom
code. Normally this was thought to fill in
a LAN bootloader into your network card.

I wouldn't charge for actually burning the ROMs if you supplied the ROMs and
binaries. Factoring in the logistics however, it would probably be cheaper
and faster if you found someone closer to home to do it for you. |

Hi Peter,
I can do this for you for the cost of the EPROMs. I'm long overdue for a
day trip to Waterloo, so free shipping is a possibility Do you have the
EPROMs already?
I'll email you off-group to work out the details.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I have secured an old serial-port based
programmer (circa 1991), and will get a UV eraser soon (all borrowed) to
start this process. Hopefully the programmer will actually work, and my
very old EPROM's will erase and work as well.
If not, I will need to utilize some of the offers made.

I can do that for you. I am in Italy. I have the eproms and the binaries. As
for shipping, we can use regular post, the price for airmail is roughly
5.50 - 7.50 euros, up to 350 grams. Registered letter a little more. I
accept Paypal.
