Description: We are seeking a mid-level Oracle Database Engineer to coordinate with applications developers to implement database changes to facilitate new application functionality. Assist in maintaining and administering multiple Oracle Database environments. Successful candidates should possess strong problem solving and performance tuning skills and illustrate the ability to work in a team environment.
This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance; Full scope polygraph preferred. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered for this position. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and at least 4-6 years experience in a directly related position. Experience with the following technologies: Oracle 10g/11g, RMAN, PL/SQL, (Quest Toad or SQL Developer). Kknowledge of modern development processes interfacing with database systems. Must be capable of translating operational requirements into detailed database requirements, and be capable of integrating COTS products into database architectures. Must be able to rapidly digest new tools and technologies and integrate them into existing designs and processes. Must have demonstrated ability to provide database support on a large software development effort with management supervision.
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Oracle Performance tuning, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Plumtree Portal (AquaLogic User Interaction or Oracle Web Center), WebLogic Server, and/or LDAP.
