hi folks,
I am about to begin to develop a clustering search engine using java .
I am doing this project as part of my final year project of
engineering . I am do not know adequate resources to study clustering
from . So can anyone out there point me to some good resources -
books, site, anything. ?? I want to study the various clustering
algorithms and then implement the ones I find good .
Thanking in anticipation . Vaib .
PS - I have downloaded the following books :-
1 . Advances in fuzzy clustering and its Applications
2 . Classification and Clustering for Knowledge Discovery by Wang and
Halgamuge
3 . Introduction to Clustering Large and High Dimensional Data by
Jacob Kogan
4 . Survey of Text Mining : Clustering, Classification and Retreival
by Michael W. Berry
Are they of any use ?
Thank you.

You should add these:
http://www-csli.stanford.edu/~hinrich/information-retrieval-book.html
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0387310738/ref=pd_rvi_gw_2/102-4351241-7974535?_encoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=283155
And you should look at the (enormous) literature on clustering in text
retrieval. This is not new ground.
