I am using a drawing supplied to me at work from which I take
the general outline which shows the existing building and streets and
the wblock a portion which I need to write a new plan for
improvements. This can consist of buildings, roads, etc. My problem
is: When I scale the drawing, I loose part of the drawing. It is
almost like it is in a different ucs. I have checked the ucs, model
space, purged all layers etc. and all appear to be ok.
I have done this many times using another large mapping file
(84 megs) with no problem. I would use the other file, however it
does not show the detail that I need for this project. How do I correct
this problem? I am using R14.

I'd try wblocking the whole drawing (using a left to right selection)
and then try wblocking the elements you actually need out of that new
file.
Also, why are you scaling the drawing? |

Does R14 have the paperspace options?

Suggest you get to the bottom of the problem, -- try check the drawing
database to see how many nested blocks you realy has.
Look into those blocks within blocks and look at the database entry
for scale of each block , that could be the start point for your
trouble.
How , --- try Entget Entsel and a few og those Lisp functions native
to ver 14. |

I need to update the correct measurements to a portion of the
drawing for which I am planning an improvement. The initial drawing
is proportional however the measurements are not accurate. I can
calculate a cost estimate of say a building repair, road repair etc,
or a new facility based on accurate data derived from the drawing.
This all starts with the basic 2d drawing. Once I have the correct
measurements, I use 3d to create precise cost estimates.
Usually I have no problem with the one main file I wblock
from, however the detail I need on this particular project is not
available on the drawing I normally use. It is on another file, but I
have this problem after I wblock the section I need and then try to
scale it. I will try to wblock the whole file, however it is a large
file (84-90MB).
